If you’re a full-time1 student whose over 18, and you’d like to build your credit, we’ve got the credit card for you: Student Secured Visa card from First Commercial Bank, N.A (USA). As long as you’re enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student at a college or university, and can provide evidence of your status, you’re eligible. United States residents and foreign students can apply.2
With the Student Secured Visa, there’s no annual fee. You won’t need to carry around lots of cash, or dip into personal savings for extra expenses. It’s just like a regular Visa card, except that your line of credit is secured by funds held in a Statement Savings account at First Commercial Bank, N.A (USA). The balance in your savings account must be at least 110% of your card’s credit limit.
And, if you sign up for the optional TravelAwards PlusSM program, you’ll earn valuable points whenever you make a purchase with your card. You can use your points for free or discounted travel, gift cards or certificates from local merchants – even free brand name merchandise.
